Data deletion
How to delete your data.
You can ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you, including anything we received through the Facebook Page integration. Here's how it works.
If you're a Marmello client
Email hello@marmello.media from the address you use to sign in to Marmello, with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include:
- The business name your account is under.
- Whether you want a partial deletion (e.g. just the Facebook-derived lead data) or a full account deletion.
We will confirm the request within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. Where data is held by a third party we use (e.g. an encrypted Page access token stored in our database), we will purge it from our end and tell Meta to revoke the related subscriptions.
If you submitted a Lead Ad form
If you filled in a Facebook Lead Ad run by a business that uses Marmello, that business received your details to follow up with you. You can ask for those details to be deleted:
- Email hello@marmello.media with the subject line "Lead data deletion request".
- Tell us, as best you can, which business's ad you replied to and roughly when (the month is fine).
- Confirm the email address or phone number you used on the form so we can match the record.
We will locate the record in the client's account, delete it within 30 days, and confirm by email. If you also want the business itself to delete any data they may have copied into their own systems (e.g. their CRM), please contact them directly — we cannot delete data held by third parties on their behalf.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email, phone, and any other Lead Ad form responses.
- Any email drafts we generated to reply to you.
- For client accounts: business context, brand guidance, content briefs, calendar entries, activity logs, and any stored Facebook integration credentials.
What we may need to keep
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself for up to 12 months for auditing purposes — typically just the date, requesting email, and confirmation it was completed. This contains no Facebook-derived data.
Disconnecting Facebook from marmello
If you're a client and want to stop the Facebook integration without closing your whole account, you (or your account manager) can press Disconnect on the Facebook Page panel in the admin client detail screen. That:
- Wipes the encrypted Page access token from our database.
- Clears the Page ID linked to your account.
- Tells Meta to unsubscribe the Page from our leadgen webhook.
From that moment Meta stops sending us your leads. Existing lead records remain so you can follow up; request deletion via the email above if you want them removed too.
